Membership Information

Showing off the harvest

Cost of Membership

We strive to make our produce affordable for both the members and the farmers. The cost of membership can be found on the “sign up for the season” page for the 29-week season. There is a $20 discount if you pay in full prior to the start of the season. This will include fresh vegetables and when available seasonal fruit. We offer cut flowers and eggs at an additional cost.

Opportunities for Participation on the Farm

We offer opportunities for members to help on the farm. We have a few work parties, one to prune the orchard  and an occasional weeding party when the weeds get past us. We request that members help with the harvest at least twice during the 29-week season. The 58 harvests provide ample opportunity for members to get their hands dirty and get to know their vegetables up close. Details upon sign – up. If you can’t help physically, your computer or organizational skills can be put to good use.

Farm Events

There are three big gatherings each season at La Finquita: the season opening potluck, the wintering in canning party, and the harvest cider press festival. These are events for you to enjoy and build community with other members.  Come and meet other like-minded people interested in sustainable agriculture. Eat seasonally and know who grows your food. Learn your responsibilities as members of this CSA. We fire up the brick oven and members bring their favorite pizza topping and a dish to pass. They are generally well attended and not to be missed. (of course they are not required).
